Souss Massa National Park
Creation date: 1991.
Area: 33,800 ha.
65 km long and 5 km wide on average, between Agadir and Tiznit.
Flora: 300 species, including 13 endemic Moroccan Southwest.
Fauna: 46 species of mammals, 40 species of Reptiles and Amphibians and 9 species of fish, over 275 species of birds observed and many species of Lepidoptera.
The Northern Bald Ibis is the emblematic bird park which houses the largest and the only viable colony worldwide.
Souss Massa mouths of wadis and wetlands are included on the Ramsar list (Convention on Wetlands) since January 2005.
7 villages inside the park with about 2500 inhabitants.
