Environmental experts and management biospheres meet in Agadir under the auspices of UNESCO
UNESCO organized in Agadir from 4 to 6 May 2015 the meeting of environmental experts and managers of biosphere on the challenges of biosphere reserves in the Arab region. In line with the Man & Biosphere program (MAB), this meeting is to allow nature to experts and managers from Arab countries to discuss the challenges faced by biosphere reserves in the region and to consult on possible solutions.

This meeting is of great importance in view of the strategic nature of the biosphere and also in view of new directions for the post 2015 development agenda.
This meeting was jointly organized by the UNESCO Regional Office in Cairo and the UNESCO Office for the Maghreb based in Rabat, in partnership with the oasis zones National Development Agency and the argan tree (ANDZOA) Managem and foundation.
Hafidi Brahim, CEO of ANDZOA, President of the Region Souss Massa Draa stressed in his opening address the interest of the authorities to the Arganeraie Biosphere and welcomed the action UNESCO in organizing this meeting in the city of Agadir which is at the heart of the biosphere of the argan tree.
UNESCO strongly supports the sharing between Arab countries and strengthen networking of managers of biosphere reserves and for a greater harmony between man and his natural environment.
