HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan inaugurates Rabat zoological garden

Rabat, Jan. 9 (MAP)  -  HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan inaugurated, on Monday, the zoological garden of Rabat. HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan visited the various spaces of the garden which includes open areas hosting different animals in their natural habitat. He then visited the characteristic site of the tropical forest that hosts primates of various species, then the humid zones with their landscapes consisting of swamps teeming with waterbirds, besides mammals like hippopotamus and crocodiles.

The 460-million dirham garden, which spans on 50 ha, has a number of buildings such as shops and restaurants.

The garden includes also a pedagogical farm, a sort a mini zoo accommodating ornament birds. It is also expected to provide for scientific research through studies and experimentations aimed at developing faun and ecosystems.
