This law specific to protected areas includes not only national parks, but also other categories of protected areas, recognized worldwide, by adapting the specific economic criteria of our country.

This revision of the existing legal framework aims to involve administrations, local authorities, populations and interested actors in the process of creating and managing protected areas in order to involve them in the sustainable development of these areas in order to involve them in the sustainable development of these areas.

In order to preserve biodiversity and the natural heritage, under the conditions established by this law and the texts adopted for its application, the creation of protected areas may be established which aim at the conservation, enhancement and rehabilitation of natural and cultural heritage, scientific research, scientific research, the awareness and entertainment of citizens, the promotion of ecotourism and the contribution to sustainable economic and social development.

To do this, the creation of a protected area must pursue specific, previously defined objectives corresponding to the protection of natural ecosystems, to the preservation of species of fauna or flora or to the conservation of sites that represent a particular interest from a biological, ecological, scientific, scientific, cultural, cultural, educational or recreational point of view, or that contain natural landscapes of great aesthetic value.
